Let us introduce ourselves…

Meet Fiona

"I'm a portrait photographer for women aged 8-108 and the people who love them. I have been photographing women for over 20 years, and it doesn't matter our age, size, stage of life, background or belief, we all want to feel seen, feel valued and feel beautiful.

I think women’s Superpower is also our Achilles Heel - we are amazing at giving to others, and seeing and praising the positive qualities and achievements of the other women in our lives, but usually so terrible at seeing and valuing those same amazing qualities in ourselves. So many women say "I hate being photographed" because we constantly hold ourselves up to an impossible standard and never feel ‘enough’, and I love to change that perception with the experience I provide and the truly relaxed, safe atmosphere I create.

My style is very simple, effortless and heartfelt - which are the qualities I believe are beautiful. I want these images to be a trophy of the feeling you get when you are here, treasures not only for you and the people who love you, but also for generations of your family to cherish. I love what I do, and my years of practice has enabled me to guide you in to a space where you can relax, let go and truly be yourself, and to capture that in images that your great-grandchildren can look at one day and say  - 'wow, can you believe that’s my Grandmother…'" - Fiona

Fiona grew up in South-East Queensland and studied her Bachelor of Photography at Queensland College of Art. After completing her degree and wanting to experience more of the world, she took 6 months off to travel and work as a photographer overseas, only to return home 7 years later, addicted to travel and new experiences that push the boundaries of her comfort zone, with the love of her life and a desire to change the way women see themselves. Fiona and Mark (her husband, business partner, second-generation photographer and business mentor) relocated from sunny Los Angeles to Sydney in 2009, where they established and ran their portrait studio for 3 years before leaving Sydney to settle down in Mark's birthplace in the stunning Waikato region of New Zealand to establish their second studio and raise their little boy & girl in the kind of green environment they both enjoyed as children. In 2017 the pull of home brought another international move back to sunny Brisbane, to establish Mark & Fiona's third private, natural light studio which is located in the seaside village of Wynnum, a short 20 minute drive south-east of Brisbane's CBD.

Fiona specialises in Generations Portraits (multiple generations of women in your family) and personality-driven, kick-ass Personal Branding imagery.

Meet Mark

As a second generation photographer I grew up learning from discussions at the dinner table, assisting in my parent's studio, hearing all about the successes and failures. I saw my parents figure out what worked and what didn't, and understand what clients really wanted and how to talk - and listen - to them to get that. Most importantly, I learned how to build amazing photography business that really works from the clients perspective, my Dad was the creative and my Mum was the business brain. She taught me what great service was and I loved every minute of it. What my parents couldn't teach me I learned in my Business Degree and my amazing mentors along the way, from Harvard educated Lawyers to world class Photographers. Living in the United States for over 10 years I ran a large high volume Studio and established photography business in both Australia and New Zealand. Over the years one thing has remained consistent, this is an industry driven by feminine energy and I'm proud to have established with my wife this amazing business connecting generations of women together with their families creating legacy and tears of happiness along the way.
